Make Works is a curated directory of the manufacturing industry that allows designers to find factories, small scale fabricators and material suppliers - most of whom have no real digital presence. Our directory includes some of the best factories and suppliers; from steel welders, cashmere spinners, sawmills, subcontract laser cutters to stonemasons, foundries, tanneries and tailors. We then connect these businesses with creative professionals looking to have work made locally. The company was launched through the #makeworkstour where we visited and filmed 120 factories in 90 days. Featured in the Core 77 Design Awards, Notcot and MakeZine. This was funded through investment from Creative Scotland and the Jerwood Charitable Foundation.
